Is Blogging a strong marketing & advertising media, what do you think?

By Espreson & Categorized Under  General

On 20th I have started a discussion in Blogcatalog, named “Most Enchanting Answer Will Get Free Review”, and the question was, ”Is Blogging a strong marketing & advertising media, what do you think?”

As an answer of that topic I have selected one discussion written by the author of GO! Smell the flowers. GO! Smell the flowers is a blog which focuses its discussion on travel, health, food, inspiration, fun, etc.

When I’m going through this blog I found some interesting message which really inspired me. I have smelled the flower, so why not you smell the beautiful words. Here it is,

Life is too short and we endeavour to inspire people and help them discover their reason to be and be the best they can?or at least think about what they can change in their life for the better?..who doesn?t want that?

Another thing has left which is answer of the question, and here author of GO! Smell the flowers has written something that I must share, because I found this answer as most enchanting for my above question. So, here it is.

Blogging is another potentially powerful yet equally damaging extension of a brand, persons or organisations touch-points.
In English - if it does what is says on the label then people will return to it if it offers them subject matter that rocks their boat. You need rules for any blog - what’s in, whats out, who the target audience is and measures of success - is it links (yawn) blind faves, stumbles, high fives and wrestling holds (ours is comments at our blog that educate us and our readers AND sales of flowers as and when they come) - whatever it is - define it sharpish, oh and your vision of success while you’re at it.
If blog content engages visitors enough to post a comment (I know only 5% of our visitors post a comment on our ‘cool blog’ - some just like to swing by a read - fine) and return to see what comments have come back then it is on the way to being a +ve.
The balance of freedom of speech, political, religious, sexual, sporting views allowed to be featured and aired can make or break the blog. Sometimes sex sells, other times its a disaster. Back to the twister mat.
Blog from the heart, do everything from the heart and he advertising can follow. Not the other way around.
Blog - engage - respond to opportunities that come up through comments - then sell.
Decent Marketing makes sales superfluous - click and buy flowers on a blog without the cheap Xsitepro marketing 1 pageer in your inbox and you’re on the way.
Our final advice - DAILOGUE not MONOLOGUE in every aspect of your brand, business and therefore blog.

Thanks, GO! Smell the flowers for your nice contribution.
