By Espreson & Categorized Under  Good Blogging Practice

I think, “It will be good blogging practice, if we could sum-up previous posts of our blog into one post”.

Why? Because, it gives room to readers to browse previous posts from one single post and not browsing around different categorized posts.

Soon, Espreson is going to publish an e-book on Good-Blogging-Practice and on that e-book you will find all the posts categorized under Good-Blogging-Practice.

By the way, till date Espreson has completed its 30th post, so, the sum-up begins here,

  1. Putting email-address on your blog sidebar
  2. Via your blog comment form
  3. Through Contact form

If I have been told to choose the contact way, then I would have jumped to 3rd option. Because 3rd option is more professional, customizable and convenient. Now the question comes, how?

Answer is so simple; with wordpress plugin you can do this easily.

Soon, Good Blogging Practice is going to touch its 30th post. In Good Blogging Practice Part-27, Espreson has discussed on SEO Title Tag. Title tag optimization is one of the important part of “search engine optimization“. So, in this part Espreson is going to talk about another good and useful wordpress plugin called, “Link To Me Textbox“.

Do you know natural recommendation or word-of-mouth recommendation is the best way to promote something. Just take an example, When we plan to buy something, most of the time we prefer to buy it from the store, recommended by our friends, relatives or colleagues. This is word-of-mouth recommendation. And it is been found that around 60% of total sale of a product/service comes from word-of-mouth recommendation.

In my experience it is the strongest media to promote/advertise something and you could have this experience too.

Link To Me Textbox, helps you to promote your blog posts. It can be considered as natural recommendation, because, you, as a blog owner recommending the post directly. And this recommendation looks as,

Previously Espreson has discussed about Title Tag optimization. This can be achieved with wordpress plugin named SEO Title Tag. In this part we will not discuss about any optimization. Till date we have discussed lots on optimization. Lets change the taste. Of course we will discuss about another useful wordpress plugin.

Do you think, you need a tool which can track your blog visitors. If not then don’t go through rest of the topic. But if yes then continue.

Espreson is talking about Google Analytics. Google Analytics helps you to track, who are your blog visitors, how well is your advertising campaign working and lots more.

So, to start tracking with Google Analytics you need a Google Account and from there you can access Google Analytics. You can also access Google Analytics from this link also, http://www.google.com/analytics/. Just Sign in with your Google Account email and password . To start tracking your blog add your blog URL. After giving details of your blog URL, Google Analytics will ask you to install a tracking code.

Installation of tracking code can be done in two ways,

  1. Put that code just before the </body> tag of each page you are planning to track.
  2. Using plugin

I think using plugin is the best option because, you may change your blog theme later and that time you need to add this tracking code again in your new theme. So using plugin can solve this problem. Here is that link to Google Analytics plugin for wordpress.

How to use that plugin? Here is the guideline,

  1. Install the plugin in your wp-content/plugin blog directory
  2. Activate the plugin
  3. Go to option menu and under that you will find Google Analytics, go there.
  4. Paste the tracking code on the box
  5. Don’t forget to click Update Options button
  6. Click Done on your Google Analytics sites Tracking Status page.

Thats all.

Whats more..No more…See you next on Good Blogging Practice..

Good Blogging Practice Part-25

By Espreson & Categorized Under  Good Blogging Practice

Good Blogging practice has previously discussed on choosing the topics and writing on it. So, writing on something is not a big deal.

But consistency in posting should be maintained.

As Espreson has choosen Good Blogging Practice as the main topic. And I try my best to write on it. It is been seemed that we fail to maintain consistency. The very reason is too much posts writing. You can say, saturation in posting. And I have that experience too. Thats why I have choosen a gap of 2 to 3 days or sometime 4 days in Espreson’s Good Blogging Practice posts. Because I don’t want to finish it in a day.

So, maintaining a gap between posts can be considered as a Good Blogging Practice!

But this methodology may vary person to person. It is upto the bloggers capacity.

Previously I used to have 6 blog. But, as the time passed I failed to maintain consistency in posts in my 6 blog. And gradually I have closed them one by one. Its my personal message, that

Too much always creates pressure in mind

We get puzzled on what to write, how to write, where to end etc etc..
