Good Blogging Practice Part-35

Social responsibility, this word brings many meanings to human civilization and can be defined from various perspective. As an example—a parent is socially responsible to care his children; and in turn a son is also socially responsible to care his father and it’s natural law. This social responsibility varies person to person. But, sometimes we violate this law and engage in different unusual activities.

So, does the word social responsibility implies to blogger and their blogging practices?

I think, Yes! Because, blog is a media through which we are expressing or sharing our thoughts, viewpoints, knowledge, ideas, etc. mainly in terms of words.

If you write something wrong or do some illegal activities through it then you are violating this law; because, tomorrow your blog would be read by someone and he/she could copy that activity. Then you are not socially responsible. Some genius brain has created this beautiful media and it’s up to you how you utilize it.

Then, how to be socially responsible blogger?

I think, this answer can be simplified in few points:

  1. Disclose your blogging practice—suppose, you are making money out of your blog, then put a clear disclosure on your monetizing practices whether it is from reviewing others products/services or advertisement.
  2. Maintain positive outlook—on comment and post.
  3. Maintain blogging values and ethics.
  4. Never copy someone’s writing. If you do, then never forget to give credit to creator.

Does anything left? Then please, never hesitate to let me know.

So, a blogger can be called a socially responsible person if his purpose of blogging is ‘Good Blogging Practice’
