You may have complain of getting unwanted activation of Caller Tunes or Mobile Internet or Mobile TV or Mail & Messaging by your telecom operator and an amount get deducted from your mobile talk time balance. Sometime this scenario you get notice immediately or sometime after a period of time and in the meanwhile while you notice, some amount is automatically get deducted from your main balance. What to do?
So, don’t worry! Telecom Regulatory Authority of India—TRAI has started a new number 155223 (toll free).
What you have to do?
Follow the instructions by dialing 155223 from your mobile and register your complain.
Will you get money refunded?
Case 1: Your Telecom operators will have to refund the amount charged for such activation of services if consumers inform about it within 24 hours on this common number – 155223.
Case 2: Subscribers who have been using any value added services beyond 24 hours can also request for deactivation of service on this number. Telecom operator will have to deactivate service within four hours of getting phone call but the customer will not be eligible to claim refund in such cases.
