I have read many short stories taken from Aranyak in my school days. It was an amazing experience then. There was a feeling that I’m in the place of the author and travelling across the jungle.
If you don’t have much of an interest in nature then just read the book Aranyak. I’m sure you will feel yourself just close to nature.
What does Aranyak mean?
Aranyak means Of the Forest.
It was Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay the greatest Bengali author, whose writing was still mesmerizing. The 1939 novel Aranyak – is a feeling of the author’s exploration of the lesser-known or unexplored landscape of northern Bihar. Where he stayed for 2 years in the forests and wrote his experience in this book.
Recently Bhaskar Chattopadhyay has translated the book into English from Bengali is available on Amazon to purchase.
Why should you give this Book to your Child?
Today, our children are becoming addicted to smartphones and computers, not to books. The benefits of reading a novel or book can’t be explained in one word.
It has a multi-fold effect in terms of knowledge as well as in our brain in different angles that in effect reduce stress, fights depression symptoms, prevents cognitive decline as we age and many others.
There are several reasons why people give their children books as gifts. Some want to make sure their child reads them and others want to encourage their child’s love for reading. The books you give your kid must be full of fun, excitement, or adventure. You can get these things from popular kid’s books such as Dora the Explorer, Barbie, and Cinderella.
Conclusion: Aranyak is an exciting book to read for all nature lovers. The writer has used his experience of nature and described it beautifully. If you are planning on taking up a vacation soon, then I suggest that you plan on going to someplace close to nature. This will help you relax and enjoy your time off from work.
