Bhartel Airtel an Indian telecom giant got new face by re-branding itself with many changes. Airtel incorporated a major change on its Logo. A complete new branding exposed through their new logo. Visual aesthetic of the new logo is much more catchy than earlier.
Apart new Logo, Airtel never let itself hide behind to promote thrie re-branding through a new TV commercial.
As per Airtel:
Our unique symbol is an interpretation of the ‘a’ in airtel. the curved shape & the gentle highlights on the red color make it warm & inviting, almost as if it were a living object. it represents a dynamic force of unparalleled energy that brings us and our customers closer. our specially designed logo type is modern, vibrant & friendly. it signals our resolve to be accessible, while the use of all lowercase is our recognition for the need for humility. red is part of our heritage. it is the color of energy & passion that expresses the dynamism that has made airtel the success it is today, in india, and now on the global stage.
Airtel’s re-branding touched their website with a new look with new intuitive features such as postpaid mobile, broadband, digital TV and home phones payment from their web interface. This is not an end—Airtel came-up with NEW! tune composed by music maestro A.R. Rahman, wallpaper, screensaver and “A Name Game”—a chance to name the symbol (the logo).
Beside re-branding Airtel announced their up-coming major addition of 3G Service. “We are on track to launch 3G services by the end of this year,” Bharti Airtel CMD Sunil Mittal said at a press conference on launching ceremony of their new brand identity.
